About Us
Tiwi Islands Regional Council is the heart of community support and infrastructure on Bathurst and Melville Islands. As a lead organisation that maintains essential community services, we are dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation of our island's infrastructure to serve our vibrant community.
The islands are home to the Tiwi people, who have a strong affiliation with their land and waterways, along with distinctive culture and language. There are school and medical facilities on the islands, with regular plane, passenger ferry and barge services operating to Darwin.
Role
You will be part of team involved with coordinating and maintaining of outstation facilities under the responsibility of the TIRC.
The role also involves developing and maintaining positive interactions with all stakeholders living at or servicing out-stations.
You
You will have experience addressing community maintenance needs to an acceptable standard, maintaining gardening-related power tools, experience in chemical spraying and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision in remote locations.
A current driver’s licence is essential.
